LEADERSHIP

A Dedicated Team Preparing Students for Success

Across the two Windsor School campuses, our leadership and staff prepare students to make a difference in the world by embracing change and challenge with creativity, collaboration, critical thought, and global awareness guided by moral and ethical values. Students are encouraged to develop their intellectual, academic, creative, and physical potential to the fullest degree. At Windsor, we help our students develop the skills they need to move forward in the world, able to rely upon their own strengths.

HEAD OF SCHOOL, OLD FORT BAY CAMPUS

Ben Fox

Ben Fox has fifteen years’ experience of teaching and leadership in primary schools. He joined Windsor in the summer of 2018 after twelve years at the prestigious Wetherby School in London, one of the top pre-preparatory schools in the country.

Ben brings a wealth of expertise in a plethora of roles within teaching, from his start at Abingdon House School in London teaching students with specific learning disabilities to Wetherby School where he ultimately became Assistant Head. Over these years, he has gathered knowledge in supporting and teaching children with a broad range of needs and talents, the importance of building honest and strong communication with parents and the key roles within a school.

While working at Wetherby, Ben was chosen by the Alpha Plus Group to complete a leadership course with the Institute of Management, in which he gained a distinction. Prior to teaching, Ben worked for numerous leisure companies across Europe, focused on children's programs. Ben’s partner, Lesley joins him as Deputy Head and they bring their two children, Tilla and Flynn to the Windsor community.

FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR, WINDSOR SCHOOL

Lisa Sawyer-McCartney

Lisa Sawyer-McCartney has dedicated her life to empowering children and young adults to achieve personal and cultural success. Lisa is the sole founder and director of The Meridian School at Unicorn Village and Windsor School. In 2014, Lisa created Windsor Preparatory School with a strong holistic focus on education and personal empowerment. It officially opened in September 2014 and welcomed 220 students.

In 2017, the Windsor Preparatory School model was chosen as the blueprint to create the upper school campus on Albany. Working in partnership with the Albany team, the upper grades migrated to the new 25-acre campus at Albany, and Windsor School was born. Today, Windsor School spans two campuses and is home to almost 500 day and boarding students and student-athletes.

In 2020, Lisa shifted from day-to day operations at Windsor’s Albany campus to help students find opportunities for success. This includes the Windsor School Million Dollar Scholar Search, a competition among Bahamian students vying for 10 full-paid, high school scholarships to Windsor School. Lisa has three children, Kasia, Tai and Lawrence Khail, and her dedication to family and personal well-being encompasses not only her immediate family but all those who are fortunate to know her.
