Windsor Athletics
Physical activity and competitive sports are an integral part of a Windsor education – not only because healthy habits are critical for our students’ well-being, but also because athletics provide a unique opportunity to practice teamwork, sportsmanship and communication, and to inspire goal-setting, hard work, and self-confidence.
Students on all campuses engage in physical activity and athletics in a number of different contexts, whether that be through our robust Physical Education program, in extracurricular athletic clubs, by participating in athletic competitions through the Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools conference, or in our prestigious and rigorous Elite Athletic Programs that prepare students for competition at the collegiate level.
Windsor also builds school spirit and encourages friendly competition through our House athletic events hosted throughout the year on each campus, including Sports Day, Run Day, the all-school Swim Gala, and other activities. Students cheer each other on in the pursuit of House points, cultivating a sense of community and unity.
The skills athletics teach are life skills, and our programming helps develop well-rounded children and adolescents.
