Our Windsor curriculum blends independent pedagogy with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which is built on the recognition that children learn best through play and active learning.

Instilling a Love for Learning within our Youngest Learners

Our children's earliest years can be some of their most formative.

Including Little Windsor, Pre-Reception and Reception at our Lower School Campus, our Early Years curriculum is focused on well-planned and resourced play, enabling children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength.

As students move through the program from ages 18 months to 5 years, they tackle skills of increasing complexity. Our early learners have the opportunity to be in the classroom, on our outdoor learning deck, or in the playground. Teachers structure the learning-led play to include early math concepts, phonics concepts and topics on the children's interests.

While their time at the Little Windsor Campus is focused on play-led learning, pre-Reception students at Little Windsor learn through a mix of play-based approach along with whole-class lessons. They learn phonics and initial sounds, which are the first stages of learning to read and write. Students also learn Singapore Math and take part in specialist lessons such as Languages, Art, and PE. The Reception class continues to learn through play; however, they further their work with phonics and specialized lessons.

Windsor's Early Years program feeds seamlessly into our Primary Education curriculum, which begins in Year 1, ensuring continuity, building confidence, and setting the stage for higher learning.
